What is Sqemes? Sqemes is where your team's AI know-how lives. Build and organise reusable prompts, assistants, and skills once, then use them everywhere you work through three channels: ✦ Browser extension — drop them into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI chat sites (this extension) ✦ Sqemes chat — run them against your own model keys (bring-your-own-key) ✦ MCP — expose them to Claude Desktop, Cursor, or any MCP client Everything you author lives in one reusable library, and Sqemes is open-source and self-hostable, so you own your data. This Chrome extension is the browser channel: it connects your Sqemes workspace to your everyday AI chats, so you can work from one consistent library without switching tabs. What this extension does A small, draggable Sqemes widget appears near the input field on supported AI platforms. Hover over it, or use the keyboard shortcut, for three actions: ✦ Enhance with AI Turn the rough prompt already typed into the chat input into a clearer, structured instruction, using the enhancement model selected in your Sqemes workspace settings. ✦ Browse your library — prompts, assistants & skills Search your Sqemes workspace and filter by prompts, assistants, or skills. Fill in any variables through a clean form and insert the fully rendered result into the active chat with one click. Skills attached to a prompt are pulled in automatically. ✦ Recent AI Chats Open a private, searchable index of supported AI chats. Pin important conversations and reopen them from the Sqemes widget. Sign in at app.sqemes.com, then use the extension options page to sync your active Sqemes app session. Once synced, select the workspace whose library and enhancement model you want to use. Running your own Sqemes deployment? Enter your instance URL in the extension options and grant access to connect the extension to your self-hosted instance instead of Sqemes Cloud. Privacy This extension communicates with Sqemes servers and, when you explicitly use AI enhancement, the AI model provider configured for your Sqemes workspace. Recent AI Chats stores only private metadata for supported chat pages: platform, title, URL, timestamps, and pinned state. It does not store chat messages, model outputs, or conversation contents for Recent AI Chats. You can disable Recent AI Chats in the extension settings. The widget loads only on the supported platforms above and on any custom sites you explicitly add. Adding a self-hosted instance or a custom site asks for access to that site through Chrome's own permission prompt; nothing is accessed automatically, and removing a custom site revokes it. When you connect to a self-hosted instance, your data is exchanged with that instance's backend, operated by whoever runs it. Sqemes does not collect analytics, track general browsing behaviour, or sell data. Templates and enhancement requests are processed according to the Sqemes privacy policy.
