Overview
AI voice translation for Google Meetâ„¢. Others hear you in their language; you read or hear them in yours. Spokked account needed.
Spokked lets you speak your own language in a Google Meetâ„¢ call. After each sentence you say, the other participants hear it in their language, spoken by an AI voice. It runs in Chrome on Mac and Windows computers and works only on the Meet website. What it does - Turn it on for a tab from the extension popup. It works sentence by sentence, so there is a short delay. - Your own speech goes out quietly in the gaps between sentences. This is on by default and you can turn it off in the popup. - Optional, off until you turn them on: subtitles of what the others say, and hearing the others in your language. Spokked hears the others from the call's own audio in the Meet page, so no extra permission is needed. Only if it cannot hear them in a call does it ask, and Chrome's prompt about the tab's audio appears after you click Allow. - Speaker names on subtitles: with subtitles on, the extension turns on Meet's own captions in your tab, keeps the caption box hidden, and reads names from them on your device only. Nothing from the captions is sent or stored. Captions go back to how they were afterwards. - The panel's Pop out button opens Spokked's subtitles in a small window of their own. Meet's own picture-in-picture works as Meet sets it. - 20 languages are supported, listed on https://spokked.ai. Who it sounds like You choose a stock voice or an AI-made copy of your own voice. The copy is made on the website, only after you record a spoken consent statement and provide a sample recording, and you can delete it from your account. Tell participants The first time translation is live, the panel shows a short message saying you use AI translation and that the others hear a generated voice. One click copies it, so you can paste it in the chat or read it out. What you need - A Spokked account. You sign in with your email on the website. - Chrome 127 or later on a Mac or Windows computer. - Credits. A new account gets a short free trial; after that, calls use credits from a monthly plan or a credit pack. This is paid software, and basic use needs payment after the trial. Purchases are made on https://spokked.ai/pricing through Stripe, with Sold through Link, LLC as merchant of record, not Google. Your data - While the extension is on in a call, your microphone audio is sent to our servers. The tab's audio (the other participants and anything else playing in the tab) is sent only while subtitles or hearing the others is on. - The meeting context you type in the popup, if any, is sent along with your audio. - On the servers, ElevenLabs does speech recognition and speech output, and Anthropic does the translating. Supabase handles sign-in and your account; it keeps the IP address you signed in from. - Spokked's servers do not store meeting audio, transcripts or translations. Our providers process them and may keep records, as the privacy policy explains. We keep your account data (email, settings), an install id with its install time and the extension version, and a usage record for each call (start time, length, usage counts and whether your own voice was used; no audio or text). - Privacy policy: https://spokked.ai/privacy Google Meet is a trademark of Google LLC.
