Split with ChatGPT
Overview
Place ChatGPT in a slim companion window beside the page you are browsing.
🪶 Keep your current page visible while working with ChatGPT. 📖 Overview Split with ChatGPT is a lightweight Chrome window-layout helper for side-by-side browsing and ChatGPT use. It resizes the current browser window, opens or reuses one ChatGPT window beside it, and keeps your current page visible as the main focus. 🚀 What It Does Open ChatGPT in a slim companion window beside the current page Place ChatGPT on the left or right side Reuse one existing ChatGPT tab when there is a single clear match Remember the last split side and width ratio in local extension storage Clean up split state when the ChatGPT window or tab is closed manually 🎯 Why Use It Keep the page you are reading visible while working with ChatGPT Reduce tab switching when researching, writing, or comparing information Use a simple split layout without extra UI clutter 🛠️ How to Use 1. Open the extension popup in Chrome. 2. Click Split with ChatGPT. 3. Use Left or Right to choose which side the ChatGPT window should use. 🔒 Important Notes The extension works with chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com. Temporary Chat automation is best-effort and may fail without blocking split mode. Fullscreen windows are intentionally excluded from split start. This extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
