)Overview
Customizable keyboard shortcuts for Chrome's Split View: close, separate, swap, and reload panes.
Split View Shortcuts adds the keyboard shortcuts and navigation Chrome forgot. Chrome's built-in Split View only ships with one shortcut (Alt+Shift+N to enter split view). This extension fills the gap with seven additional commands, a live split view tab tree, inline shortcut configuration, and guided onboarding. SHORTCUTS (7 commands): • Close Left — Close the left pane (default: Alt+W) • Close Right — Close the right pane (default: Alt+Shift+W) • Separate — Unsplit tabs into separate windows (default: Alt+Shift+U) • Swap — Exchange the left and right panes (default: Alt+U) • Switch Focus — Jump keyboard focus to the other pane (set your own) • Reload Left — Refresh the left pane (set your own) • Reload Right — Refresh the right pane (set your own) FEATURES: • Split View Tab Tree — see all open split views across every window, grouped by window, with favicons, L/R labels, and one-click navigation to any pane • Inline shortcut editor — click any shortcut in the popup, press your key combo, done. No Chrome settings page needed. Conflict detection included • "SV" badge indicator when the active tab is in split view • Guided onboarding on first install — walks you through each command, lets you configure shortcuts inline, and provides contextual tips • Collapsible shortcuts panel showing current key bindings • Zero data collection — everything runs locally REQUIREMENTS: • Chrome 140 or later (split view API support) • Split View must be enabled in your browser
