Control video playback speed with customizable presets and keyboard shortcuts

SpeedTube - Video Speed Controller makes it easy to control how fast any online video plays. Many websites either do not provide convenient speed controls or reset the speed every time a new video starts. SpeedTube solves this by adding a popup with customizable presets, keyboard shortcuts, and a scope selector (this tab, this domain, or all tabs). You can quickly switch between speeds like 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x or any custom value, and the extension remembers your choices across sessions. SpeedTube works with standard HTML5 video players on most websites. It injects a small script into the current tab only when you interact with the extension, finds video elements on the page, and updates their playback speed according to your settings. It can also show the current speed and play/pause status for the active tab and update a badge to reflect the active speed. All user settings, such as presets, assigned keyboard shortcuts, enabled/disabled state, and preferred language, are stored locally using chrome.storage only to improve convenience. The extension does not read page content for analytics, does not track browsing history, and does not send any data to external servers. The sole purpose of SpeedTube is to give users precise control over video playback speed in a simple and consistent way.
