Speeddeck - Video Speed & Skip Controls

Speed up, slow down, and skip any HTML5 video or audio. Per-site memory, a draggable overlay, and your own keyboard shortcuts.

Speeddeck puts a speed control on any HTML5 video or audio on the web, so you can play it faster, slow it down, or jump forward and back without waiting for the site to add those buttons itself. A small controller sits on the video showing the current speed. Drag it wherever you like, or hide it and drive everything from the toolbar popup instead. What you can do: - Change the playback speed of any HTML5 video (and audio, if you turn that on), from a quarter speed up to 4x, on any website. - Use the toolbar popup for a bigger speed readout, a slider, one-tap preset buttons, and a reset-to-1x button. - Skip forward and back, step the speed up or down, reset, and show or hide the controller with your own keyboard shortcuts. Shortcuts are off by default so they never clash with typing, and you turn them on and pick your keys (or use the recommended set) in Settings. - Remember a speed per site, so a site you always watch at 1.5x opens at 1.5x next time. It is per site, not global, and you turn it on for the sites you want. - Remember where you dragged the controller, per site, so it comes back where you left it. - Turn Speeddeck off on sites where you do not want it, with a simple disabled-sites list. - Pick eight of your own preset speeds for the popup's quick buttons. - Back up or restore all of your settings and saved speeds as a single file. It all runs locally in your browser. There is no account and no server: your settings and saved speeds live on your own Chrome profile and are never sent to the developer or anyone else. Every feature is free, with nothing behind a paywall.
