Yes, sadly, it seems to no longer be an overlay, but an actual blurred PNG image representation of the text.

Love the concept, hate Quora's policy, but they seem to have broken the extension.

Nice. Quora users thought they were contributing to an openly available resource. This extension restores the original premise of the service.
