Record your interactions and turn them into a Playwright test or plain-English steps.

Specaroo records your clicks, typing, keyboard input and navigation on any website and turns them into a ready-to-run end-to-end test, in the format you need. Open the side panel, hit Record, use the site as usual, and the panel writes the test live. Then copy or download it — or replay it right there. Output formats • Playwright (TypeScript) — the default, with editable output profiles: customize the exact command each action emits, and point imports at your own test fixture instead of @playwright/test • Human — a plain-English checklist for a ticket or a colleague • Portable JSON with tool-agnostic locators What it captures • Robust Playwright-style selectors (test id › role › label › text › CSS) with fallbacks — and works through Shadow DOM / web components • Typing in normal inputs and in contenteditable rich-text editors • Keyboard: Enter, Tab, Escape, arrows and shortcuts (Ctrl/⌘/Alt + key) • Clicks, and where you clicked on sliders, video scrubbers, canvases and maps • Select dropdowns and page scrolls • Screenshots, saved on replay and included in the exported test • Follows the flow across pages and new tabs Replay & edit • Plays steps with a real cursor, so hovers (including CSS-only menus) and positional clicks behave for real • Run all (stops at the first failure) or play a single step — each step turns green or red, with the exact reason for any failure • Hover a step to highlight its element on the page • Live availability dots; edit any step in place or re-pick its selector by pointing at the page More • Insertable palette: Go to URL, Type, Press key, Hover, Pause, waits, and checks (element visible, text, field value, URL), plus comments • Smart mode adds explicit waits and URL checks as you record • Delays mode records your real pauses, so a replay runs at your pace (excluded from the generated code by default) • Undo / Clear all; save a library of tests; import/export Privacy Specaroo runs entirely in your browser. No server, no analytics, no telemetry — nothing is sent anywhere. Recording state is kept only for the current session; tests you Save are stored locally in your browser and stay until you delete them.
