SpeakScribe turns speech into text in Chrome with a focused popup workspace, a draggable floating control, and a separate transcript overlay. AVAILABLE NOW • Standard: Free English (US) dictation on supported regular websites using Chrome’s speech service. Each session lasts up to five minutes, keeps listening through pauses, and can be restarted anytime. • Local: Unlimited on-device Whisper final transcription. The selected model downloads from Hugging Face and is cached in Chrome. Optional live preview also uses Chrome’s speech service. • Included free tools: Smart punctuation and capitalization, built-in spoken editing commands, direct insertion into supported text fields, copy, TXT export, the floating overlay, and customizable Record/Overlay shortcuts. 7-DAY NON-CLOUD PRO TRIAL No payment card is required. The trial unlocks Standard without the five-minute timer, 30+ languages and locales, custom commands, per-site settings, custom vocabulary, overlay timestamps, and SRT, Markdown, and JSON export. PRO PRICING Launch pricing is $9.99/month or $89.99/year. Both are recurring subscriptions; there is no lifetime or one-time plan. Paid checkout and new activation remain paused until the verified live Lemon Squeezy catalog is connected. CLOUD STATUS Enhanced and Meeting cloud modes are disabled and are not part of this release. This build cannot connect to the SpeakScribe proxy or Deepgram. PRIVACY Standard and optional Local live preview send microphone audio to Chrome’s speech service.
