Overview
Speak with AI turns any topic, selected text or YouTube video into voice conversations and language practice. Talk to AI easily.
Speak with AI lets you talk with AI by voice in any supported language. Choose English, Spanish, German, French, Russian, Italian, or Portuguese and start a spoken conversation about whatever matters to you. If you are learning a language, Speak with AI can also show the mistakes you made while speaking, explain the correction, and help you try again. ✅ What you can do ✓ Have a voice conversation with AI instead of typing each message. ✓ See grammar, vocabulary, and other mistakes from your language practice. ✓ Read the corrected wording and a short explanation of what went wrong. ✓ Choose a Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced level for a session that fits your ability. ✓ Practice open conversation or work through 90 role-play situations from everyday life, travel, work, services, and social settings. ✓ Review prepared vocabulary before a role play, then return to saved mistakes for focused correction practice. ✓ Revisit conversation transcripts and correction notes in your history when signed in. ✓ Bring selected webpage text or an available YouTube transcript into the conversation through the Chrome extension. 🎙️ Talk instead of type Speak with AI is built around a back-and-forth spoken exchange. You say your part, the AI replies aloud, and the conversation keeps its context from one turn to the next. Use it to discuss an idea, ask follow-up questions, rehearse a situation, or simply get more comfortable speaking. 📝 See what went wrong When you choose language practice, Speak with AI transcribes your turns and can identify errors in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or another category. Each saved mistake includes your original wording, a correction, and an explanation, so feedback becomes something you can understand and practise rather than a score you glance at once. 💬 Rehearse conversations you may actually have Choose open practice for your own topic or role play for a defined situation and goal. The language learning app includes 90 scenarios at three levels, with situations such as checking into a hotel, handling a workplace problem, talking to a doctor, or meeting a new neighbor. Prepared vocabulary helps you enter the conversation with useful words already in mind. 📄 Bring browser context into the conversation The extension adds two shortcuts after the speaking and study tools. Select a passage on any webpage, right-click, and choose "Discuss with AI" to place it in the topic field. On a supported YouTube watch page, click the extension's button to retrieve an available transcript, remove timestamps, add the video title, and use the result as a discussion topic. For unusually long passages or video transcripts, the text is condensed into a shorter summary first, so it becomes a workable discussion topic instead of an overwhelming wall of text. This makes Speak with AI useful when an article, study note, technical document, or video gives you something specific to question. If a YouTube transcript is unavailable, the extension tells you instead of opening an empty topic. You can also hide the YouTube button in the extension settings. ⚙️ How Speak with AI works 1️⃣ Open Speak with AI and choose whether you want a general conversation or language practice. 2️⃣ Select a supported language. For study sessions, choose your level and either open practice or a role-play scenario. 3️⃣ Grant mic permissions when prompted, then start the session and speak when you are ready. 4️⃣ During language practice, follow the transcript and review detected mistakes after the conversation. 5️⃣ When signed in, return to your history to read saved corrections and practise them in another spoken session. 6️⃣ When you want to discuss something from the browser, send selected text through the context menu or use the button on a supported YouTube video. ❓ What is a voice conversation with AI? A voice conversation with AI is a turn-by-turn dialogue in which you speak and the assistant answers aloud. Automatic Speech Recognition, often shortened to ASR, converts your speech into text. Natural Language Processing helps the AI interpret that text and form a relevant reply. This differs from a basic AI chatbot that expects typed messages. It is also more focused than a general voice assistant because Speak with AI can combine spoken dialogue with language feedback, practice scenarios, selected passages, and video transcripts. In plain terms, it is an AI that speaks to you and can help you notice how you speak back. 👥 Who can benefit from Speak with AI ✓ Language learners can use a language learning app built around speaking, listening, correction, and another attempt. ✓ People preparing for travel, work, or everyday situations can rehearse a realistic exchange at a suitable level. ✓ Students can speak with an AI about a reading or lecture transcript and test whether they can explain it in their own words. ✓ Professionals can practise a difficult workplace conversation or discuss a technical passage before a meeting. ✓ YouTube viewers can ask follow-up questions and talk through a video's ideas instead of stopping at passive watching. ⭐ Why choose Speak with AI? 📌 Voice comes first. You can start with your own topic and use browser material only when it helps. 🗣️ Seven conversation languages, three study levels, open practice, and role play cover both casual AI talking and structured study. 📝 Corrections stay tied to what you said, with the original phrase, corrected version, explanation, and another practice session. 🔒 Privacy: the extension acts only after your explicit click. It does not collect browsing history or extract YouTube transcripts in the background. ⏳ Imported text stays temporarily in Chrome session storage under a random draft ID and is removed after a successful import is confirmed. 💡 Tips for better AI conversations ✓ Tell the AI what kind of conversation you want. Ask it to quiz you, challenge an argument, explain a passage, or play a particular role. ✓ Add your level and goal. "Help me explain this at an intermediate level" gives more direction than "Tell me about this." ✓ Favor open-ended questions over yes/no ones: they keep the communication going and often lead somewhere more interesting than a closed answer. ✓ Keep each spoken turn focused, especially when asking about a long article or transcript. ✓ Say the corrected sentence aloud, then use the same pattern in a new sentence of your own. ✓ Check important factual claims against the source, especially for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. ✓ While speaking with an AI, avoid sharing passwords, payment details, medical records, or other sensitive personal information with any AI platform. ❓ FAQ 🌍 How can I speak with AI in another language? Choose one of the seven supported languages before starting. If you want feedback, select language practice and set your level. Speak with AI will conduct the session in that language and can save detected mistakes for review when you are signed in. 📺 How can I speak with AI about a webpage or YouTube video? Select the relevant webpage text, right-click, and choose "Discuss with AI." For a supported YouTube video, click the extension button to use its available transcript and title as the topic. Speaking with AI works best when you add a direct question about the material. 🗣️ Is this a talking app or a language learning app? It does both. Choose a general conversation when you only want to talk to AI. Choose language practice for level-based speaking, role play, transcripts, and corrections. If you searched for "speak language learning," the important distinction is that the study flow centers on an actual spoken exchange. ⚠️ Can AI answers or language corrections be wrong? Yes. AI talker can misunderstand speech, miss context, or state something inaccurate. Treat its corrections as practice prompts and verify important claims against a reliable source. 🎯 Start with a question, a language you want to practise, or a conversation you have been putting off. Speak with AI gives you a place to say it aloud, notice your mistakes, and take another run at it.
