Overview

Smart volume boost and 10-band EQ for your browser audio. Boost, shape, and tame loudness without leaving the tab.

SoundSphere Volume Booster & 10-Band EQ for Your Browser Boost tab volume up to 800%, shape your sound with a 10-band EQ, and keep your settings active even when you switch tabs or windows. Take control of how your browser sounds instead of letting each site decide. SoundSphere helps you tame quiet videos, punch up music, and keep loud sites from catching you off guard. Key features • Boost volume up to 800% for the current tab (use with care). • 10-band EQ with presets like Flat, Speech, Bass Boost, Treble Boost, and V-Shape. • Voice and bass modes for quick “make vocals clearer” or “give it more low end” tweaks. • Persistent audio processing – effects keep working even when you switch tabs or windows. • See and manage noisy tabs right from the extension icon (badge shows how many tabs are playing). • Quickly jump to or mute tabs that are playing audio. • Lightweight popup UI that stays out of your way once you set it up. How it works SoundSphere watches which tabs are playing audio and shows a badge with the number of active audio tabs. From the popup you can: • Adjust the volume boost for the current tab. • Pick an EQ preset or fine-tune all 10 bands. • Switch between Default, Voice, and Bass modes. • See and focus any tab that’s currently making noise. For some streaming and music sites (like Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Spotify, Twitch, and others), Chrome’s newer extension rules require a small helper tab to handle audio processing. SoundSphere will open and pin this “engine” tab for you automatically. Just keep it open and ignore it—closing it will stop the advanced processing until it’s reopened. Permissions explained • Tabs & activeTab – Used to detect which tabs are playing audio and let you jump to or mute them. • Storage – Used to save your settings (volume, EQ, modes, and UI options) so they persist across sessions. • Host permissions (<all_urls>) – Required so the content script can run on pages where audio is playing and apply volume/EQ changes. Privacy • SoundSphere does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. • There is no tracking, analytics, or hidden network traffic. • All audio processing happens locally in your browser. Safety note: High boosts can damage your hearing or your speakers. Start low, increase gradually, and use headphones and volume boosts responsibly.
