Switch between them instantly, or let Auto choose the right mode based on what you’re watching. Works on YouTube, Twitch, Vimeo, and Tidal with full Sound and Spatial support. On Netflix, Sound mode and manual POV scene selection work normally — Auto scene detection is limited by DRM, and the extension will let you know. On Spotify and Disney+, DRM may limit audio processing, but your original playback is always preserved. It adapts to that video, not a generic curve. • Auto-Scene (Spatial mode) detects content type from the title and tracks real-time energy levels to dynamically shift your POV — quiet verse pulls you close, loud chorus puts you in the crowd. How It Works SoundControl uses the Web Audio API to process audio entirely within your browser: • Sound mode uses a multi-band EQ, Mid/Side stereo widener, convolution reverb, dynamics compressor, and waveshaper for warmth/saturation. • Spatial mode uses room simulation — per-scene EQ, early reflections, and matched reverb impulse responses — to recreate the acoustic signature of each location. • A/B crossfade architecture means scene transitions are click-free and seamless. • The Effect Intensity slider blends from subtle to full effect on both modes. Best With Headphones Spatial mode requires headphones for the 3D positioning to work. Sound mode works on any output. Privacy SoundControl does not collect, transmit, or store any user data. All audio processing happens locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. No accounts, no analytics, no network requests beyond the video platform itself.
