A volume booster and per-tab volume control that keeps the sound clean. Sotto turns each browser tab up or down on its own. Boost quiet videos up to 500%, calm a loud tab without touching the others, and fix how things sound. When you're done, turn it off and the tab plays exactly as it did before. WHAT IT DOES • Volume per tab, from 0 to 500%. The left half of the slider covers everyday levels and the right half is boost. • Clean boost. Increase the volume beyond 100% without the crackle: a built-in limiter keeps boosted audio clean. Want maximum loudness at any cost? Click the Limiter badge to turn it off. • Mono. Plays both channels in both ears, for videos whose sound comes from one side only. • Night mode. Tames loud effects and brings dialogue forward, for films with quiet voices and loud explosions. • Balance. Turns the left or right side down, for uneven hearing or a single earbud. • Keyboard shortcuts that work without opening the popup: Alt+Shift+Up/Down for volume, Alt+Shift+M for mono, Alt+Shift+0 to turn it off. You can change them at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. • All controlled tabs in one place, each with its own slider. GONE WHEN YOU'RE DONE Many volume boosters keep running after you close them, and the tab stays marked as "shared". With Sotto, pressing Turn off ends everything for that tab: the sharing indicator disappears and the tab goes back to normal. When no tab is controlled, Sotto runs nothing at all. ABOUT THE PERMISSION WARNING Chrome shows "Read and change all your data on all websites" for any extension that can capture a tab's audio. It is the standard warning for this permission. Sotto uses it for one thing only: to adjust the sound of the tab you choose. Audio is processed on your device and played straight back. It is never recorded or sent anywhere. Sotto makes no network requests, has no analytics, and injects nothing into the pages you visit.
