Internal NHS Sostenuto toolkit for service desk automation

Sostenuto+ is an internal productivity toolkit for IT service desk analysts at NHS Informatics Merseyside. It adds shortcuts and automation to the Sostenuto service desk system and brings together the related tools analysts use every day. It is only useful to staff with access to these internal systems and is distributed by unlisted link. FEATURES Incident pages • Adds quick action buttons and tidies the incident layout (optional, per user setting) • Incident search box and clickable incident references • Copy contact details from an incident • Watchlist: track chosen incidents and see their status, queue and assignee, with notes • Auto refresh and options to hide unused menus Third-party logging • Log with LUHFT: fills in the hospital trust's request form from the incident, submits it, assigns the incident with the returned reference and places it on hold • Check LUHFT: opens the trust's request for an incident that has already been logged Mail administration (in the extension popup) • Look up a user in the mail admin portal, with an option to select all tenants first • Open the admin portal and select all tenants automatically after sign-in • Staff directory search • Password generator • Quick links to the team's support, reporting, rota and calendar pages Other tools • Organisation code lookup • Printer search PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS • The extension only runs on the specific internal work sites listed in its permissions. It does nothing on any other website. • "scripting" runs the tenant selection on the admin portal when the user clicks the button. "storage" saves the user's settings and watchlist in their browser. "activeTab" is used by popup tools that act on the current tab. • No data is sent to the developer or any other third party. There is no tracking or analytics. • Users must already be signed in to each system with their own account. The extension never asks for, stores or enters passwords.
