Find a song's key and BPM while it plays in your browser. Song Key & BPM Finder analyzes audio from the tab you choose. Use it with music on YouTube, Spotify Web, SoundCloud, or other sites that allow tab audio capture. You do not need to upload a file or enter a song name. How it works: 1. Play a song in a browser tab. 2. Click the extension icon. 3. Press "Detect key & BPM". 4. Let the song play for about 20 seconds. 5. Read the key and tempo estimates. Your result includes: • Musical key, such as A minor • Relative major or minor key • Tempo in beats per minute (BPM) • Confidence rating • A 12-note chroma chart • Other possible keys Use the results to explore songs for singing, karaoke, music practice, mixing, or remixing. The tab keeps playing during analysis. The results are estimates. A clear section with instruments and a steady beat gives better results. The extension hides BPM when it cannot detect a steady beat. Tempo estimates can sometimes be half or twice the perceived beat. Key changes and complex harmony can affect the key estimate. PRIVATE AND FREE Your browser processes the audio on your device. The extension does not save an audio file or upload audio. It keeps the latest result during the browser session so you can reopen the popup. It has no analytics or tracking and needs no account.
