Overview
Send custom WebSocket messages to the UI or the server.
Socket Inspector extends the browser’s DevTools with powerful features for debugging WebSocket applications and services. Debug faster and ship with confidence with these features: ✓ WebSocket Traffic Inspection: Inspect any WebSocket connection on a page and see a log of sent and received messages in real-time. Quickly search and filter to find exactly what you need. Supports both WS and WSS connections. ✓ Custom Message Simulation: Create custom messages using a built-in text editor with JSON support. Set the destination to "Client" to simulate a message sent from the server to the UI. Set the destination to "Server" to simulate a message sent from the UI to the server. ✓ Traffic Blocking: Noisy connections can be difficult to debug. Use our traffic blocking feature to temporarily pause live traffic. While traffic is paused, you can still simulate custom messages. ✓ Dark Mode Support: Socket Inspector automatically matches your Chrome DevTools theme, including dark mode.
