## What it does Creators have no honest way to see whether their engagement on social platforms is real. Counts are opaque, reach is unverifiable, and no tool gives you a transparent record of what you actually did. sociality is a Chrome extension for creators on Instagram and TikTok. It observes your real engagement (the likes and comments you make manually) and connects the profiles you own, then surfaces a verified record in a separate dashboard. You see exactly what you did, confirmed by an independent server-side check. Engagement verification is live on Instagram and TikTok today, with more platforms on the way. The value commitment is transparency, not automation: no posting on your behalf, no following, no scraping, no bot behavior. Purely a way to measure your own activity, with explicit consent every step of the way. ## How it works 1. Install sociality and accept the in-extension consent screen. The extension does nothing until you give explicit permission. 2. Connect your platforms: visit your own profile on Instagram or TikTok and sociality reads it to link your verified record to your account. No passwords, no API logins. 3. Use your platforms normally. When you like or comment on an Instagram or TikTok post, the extension detects that action from the platform's own like/comment request and reports it to sociality for server-side verification. 4. Open the sociality dashboard to see a verified record of your genuine engagement: real reach, not vanity counts. ## What it does NOT do - It does NOT post on your behalf, comment on your behalf, like on your behalf, or take any action without you taking it manually yourself. - It does NOT read your DMs, your full feed, or any post outside the ones you interact with. - It does NOT browse for you, follow accounts on your behalf, or operate while you are not actively using a supported platform. - It does NOT collect data from any website other than the supported platforms (www.instagram.com, www.tiktok.com), and only after you have explicitly consented. - It does NOT sell your data, share with advertisers, or use it for purposes other than verifying your own engagement record. - It does NOT operate without your explicit, recorded consent. You can disconnect at any time from the extension settings. ## Permissions explained - storage: to remember your sociality login and your preferences. - activeTab: so the side panel can show what is relevant to the page you are currently viewing. - sidePanel: shows the extension's own status panel when you click the toolbar icon. - host permission (instagram.com): engagement verification and reading your own profile. - host permission (tiktok.com): engagement verification and reading your own profile. No other site is touched. ## Privacy and data All data is EU-hosted and collected only with explicit consent per GDPR Art. 6(1)(a). We use a third-party AI service to grade engagement quality; our sub-processors are listed in the privacy policy.
