Social Reminder
Overview
Save posts from X, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube etc. and get reminded to come back to them later.
You scroll past an interesting thread, a long-read essay, or a tutorial video — "I'll come back to it later." Later never comes. Social Reminder changes that: it saves posts and notifies you at a time you actually choose, so the post is still there when you have time for it. Save from anywhere With one click, Social Reminder captures a post and its author from X (Twitter), Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, and GitHub — without leaving the page you're on. A floating "Remind me" button appears on posts as you scroll. You pick the moment • In 1 hour, tonight at 8 PM, tomorrow morning, or next week — choose from presets or create your own • Recurring reminders — daily, weekly, or monthly, for posts you need to keep coming back to (learning threads, job listings, ongoing discussions) • Snooze — a reminder fires at a bad time? Push it off with one click from the notification itself Never miss a reminder Reminders arrive as browser notifications with Open and Snooze buttons. Open takes you straight back to the exact post; the extension works in the background, so reminders fire even when you aren't using the extension. Your reading list, organized • The side panel groups reminders by urgency — today, this week, later — so you always see what matters most • Search across every saved post and add your own notes • Mark posts done, edit reminder times, or delete them anytime Private by design All saved posts stay on your device in your browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded, tracked, or sold — there are no accounts, no analytics, and no data shared with third parties. WHO IT'S FOR Social Reminder is for anyone who uses social media to learn and discover — developers tracking GitHub discussions, students saving tutorials, professionals bookmarking industry posts. If you've ever opened Twitter "for two minutes" and lost an hour, this is for you. HOW TO USE 1. Browse a supported site (X, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, GitHub) 2. Click the Remind me button on a post and pick when you want to come back 3. Open the side panel to view, search, and manage your reading list 4. When the reminder fires, click Open to jump straight back to the post PRIVACY No personal data is collected. Saved posts are stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to any server. When you save a YouTube video, the video URL is sent to YouTube's public oEmbed API solely to retrieve the video title. PERMISSIONS • "Read and change data on sites you visit" — injects the Remind me button into posts on supported sites; content is only read when you click Save • "Display notifications" — notifies you when a reminder is due • "Storage" — saves your reading list and settings locally on your device • "Alarms" — schedules reminders so they fire at the time you set
