Social Media Toolbox helps you write better replies on X (Twitter). Click the sparkle button under any tweet. A panel opens showing that tweet, you pick a tone, and the extension drafts a few candidate replies using your own AI API key. Edit any candidate inline, copy it, or send it as a reply — one click, one reply. HOW IT WORKS • A small button is added under each tweet on x.com • Choosing a tone (Agree & Add / Humorous / Question / Expert) and clicking Generate sends that tweet's text to the AI provider you configured • You get several drafts side by side, so you compare and choose instead of accepting whatever a black box produced • Every draft is editable before sending • The panel can open as an in-page dialog or in the browser side panel BRING YOUR OWN API KEY This extension has no account, no server, and no subscription. You supply an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or DeepSeek — or any OpenAI/Anthropic compatible endpoint via a custom base URL. You pay your provider directly. YOUR DATA • API keys and preferences are stored with chrome.storage.local on this device only. They are never sent anywhere except to the API endpoint you configured. • The text of a tweet is sent to your chosen AI provider only at the moment you click Generate. • There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no backend operated by us.
