Social Media Image Rotator
Overview
Rotate sideways illustrations on social media back upright, right where they appear.
Sideways illustrations show up all over your social feeds — art posted rotated 90°, so you'd have to tilt your head to see it properly. On a desktop, you can't just turn the screen. Social Media Image Rotator fixes that. Right-click any image on X (Twitter) or Bluesky and choose "Rotate image 90°" — the picture turns upright, right there in your timeline. No new tab, no download, no leaving the page. Why a dedicated extension? X doesn't render tweet photos as plain <img> elements, so generic image-rotation add-ons don't work on it. This extension handles X's and Bluesky's actual markup, so rotation just works. Features • Rotate left or right, 90° at a time, from the right-click menu — always available. • Optional hover buttons: turn them on in the popup to get one-click rotate buttons when you hover an image. • Single timeline photos are enlarged to fill the column when rotated, so upright art is shown as large as it fits. • In the lightbox, rotated images scale up to fill the viewer. • Works on X (Twitter) and Bluesky. Privacy This extension collects no data. It runs only on x.com, twitter.com, and bsky.app, and only to rotate the images you ask it to. No tracking, no external servers.
