Soapstone lets you leave short messages on the pages of the web. Fellow travelers will find them. Highlight a snippet of text, or drag a box over an image, on a supported site. Then inscribe a note of up to 300 characters and choose its nature: - Hazard: warn of something misleading - Praise: commend something worthy - Guidance: offer a helpful hint - Lore: share context or hidden meaning Your inscription appears as a colored highlight for every Soapstone user who visits that page. HOW IT WORKS - Highlight up to 50 characters of text, or drag a box on an image - Write a note of up to 300 characters and pick its type - Vote messages up or down, and report the ones that do not belong - Share a link that leads straight to any single inscription - Messages are public and pseudonymous, and fade on their own after 4 to 7 days WHERE IT WORKS Soapstone awakens only on a curated list of supported sites: news outlets, forums such as Reddit and Stack Overflow, wikis like Wikipedia and Fandom, and social feeds including X (x.com), Truth Social, Tumblr, and Pinterest. On an unsupported page, press Alt+I or use the popup to request that we add it. SIGNING IN Sign in with Google and claim a one-time username.
