SOAP – Swearword Filter for Netflix, Disney+, Prime & YouTube
Overview
Adjustable word-level subtitle filtering with silence or beep. Word timing is estimated; no desktop app required.
Good shows. Less swearing. Your choice. SOAP helps reduce unwanted language on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and YouTube while you watch in Chrome on a desktop or laptop. Choose your filtering style: • Strict — filters the entire caption containing a detected swearword. • Lenient — filters around the detected swearword with an adjustable timing buffer. Some words may slip through. Make it sound your way: • Silence unwanted language. • Use Harp or Didgeridoo replacement sounds. • Upload your own replacement sound. • Adjust replacement-sound volume. More control while you watch: • Show or hide SOAP’s caption text. • Choose Midnight, Frost or Slate. • View local viewing history and caption-based filtering statistics. • Send feedback, rate SOAP and suggest words for review. • Connect up to five Chrome browsers for one household. Easy setup Install SOAP, choose new or existing customer, and follow the connection prompts. New eligible accounts receive a seven-day free trial—no card required and no automatic paid subscription. After connecting, open a supported streaming service and play a movie or show. Enable English captions in the player, then use the SOAP icon to adjust your settings. Privacy Captions, viewing history and custom sounds stay in your browser. Account and browser-connection information is processed to manage access. Feedback and word suggestions you submit are sent to SOAP with your account so we can respond. Important SOAP relies on available English captions and their timing. Missing, inaccurate or delayed captions can cause missed language or unintended muting. SOAP does not guarantee language-free content. Prime Video support is still being tested. A SOAP account is required. Paid plans are available after the free trial.
