SnapDiff helps you capture, compare, annotate, and export screenshots for visual QA, with saved work kept in your browser. Review a design against an implementation, compare page changes, inspect responsive layouts, or keep accessibility findings beside a screenshot. No SnapDiff account or signup is needed. ALL FIVE VISUAL-QA CAPABILITIES ARE INCLUDED IN FREE • Visual A/B comparison: capture A, switch to another page or tab, and capture B. Review side by side or highlight pixel differences for comparable captures. • Localization simulation: select a browser language before capturing a site that supports it. This is not automatic translation. • Responsive viewport review: capture using named CSS viewport presets, then compare layouts at different sizes. • Optional accessibility checks: run the bundled axe-core engine on the live page and save findings locally with the capture. • Visual UI review: annotate screenshots and collect 2–5 images into a side-by-side Multi group. CAPTURE, REVIEW, EXPORT Choose a viewport, full-page, or selected-area screenshot. Add arrows, rectangles, pen marks, and text. Browse saved work in Captures and export PNG, JPEG, or WebP images. Accessibility findings can also be exported as JSON. A/B captures may come from different domains, including a development site and a production page. Multi groups preserve each image's original dimensions and are for visual review, not pixel Diff. Different viewport sizes use side-by-side review without a pixel Diff score. In the installed extension workspace, Capture screen/window/tab can take one still frame from a surface you explicitly select in the browser's native chooser, where supported. Audio is not requested. Sharing stops before preview, and you choose whether to save. Available surfaces depend on your browser and operating system. This is Single capture only, without full-page scrolling, device presets, language simulation, or accessibility scanning. FREE AND OPTIONAL PRO Free includes all five visual-QA capabilities and 20 completed workflows per month. One Single capture, completed A/B pair, or completed Multi group counts as one workflow. Annotations, retakes, and downloads do not consume extra workflows. Free images show the SnapDiff watermark and capture timestamps. Pro is an optional recurring subscription at USD 9.99 per year, plus applicable taxes, for unlimited workflows and up to 3 browser installations. Pro adds clean exports, an optional custom watermark name, and controls to show or hide capture timestamps. It renews annually with no trial. Purchase through the hosted Dodo checkout linked from SnapDiff, then activate your license key in the extension. Manage cancellation at https://snapdiff.co/cancel. Deactivating a browser license does not cancel billing. You do not need to buy Pro to use Free. LOCAL STORAGE AND OPTIONAL LICENSING Screenshots, capture URLs and titles, annotations, and optional accessibility reports are stored locally in your browser profile. SnapDiff does not upload these captures or reports. Exported files are saved at your request; take care when sharing screenshots or reports containing private information. Optional Pro activation, validation, and deactivation send licensing information to Dodo over HTTPS after you grant the licensing permission. Hosted checkout handles billing separately. Local storage has no application-level encryption or separate unlock password. Removing the extension or clearing its storage removes locally saved work. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS • This Chrome edition requires desktop Chrome 120 or later. It is not a mobile browser or real-device testing service. • Responsive presets change CSS viewport sizes at 1x. They do not reproduce physical devices, touch behavior, another browser engine, or verified cross-browser coverage. • Language simulation requires confirmation and reloads the source tab to apply and restore its language. Save unsaved edits first. Site preferences can override the selected language. Related tabs sharing Chrome's renderer may temporarily share the default date/number formatting. • Keep the source tab visible and unchanged during capture. Close DevTools and keep Chrome's debugger notice open when requested. • Full-page capture covers the initially loaded page height, not unlimited scrolling content. Size limits and changing or restricted pages can prevent capture or require PNG export. • Accessibility checks cover the loaded main document and open shadow roots, not embedded-frame contents or closed shadow roots. Automated findings are not accessibility certification; manual checks are still needed. • Visual A/B comparisons are screenshot comparisons, not statistical experiments. • Incognito mode is not supported.
