Snapa Chat

A simple AI chat extension powered by the user's API key

Snapa Chat is a Chrome extension that lets users chat with AI providers such as Google Gemini and OpenRouter directly from their browser using their own API key. Its main purpose is to provide a lightweight browser-based AI chat tool that can optionally use selected text or the current page’s visible content as context when the user chooses. Snapa Chat helps users stay focused while reading or researching online articles. When users want to summarize, explain, or ask questions about something they are reading, they usually have to open another tab, copy and paste the text, and type prompts like “summarize this” or “explain this in simple words.” This interrupts the reading flow and takes extra time. Snapa Chat solves this by bringing AI chat directly into the browser. Users can select text or use the current page as context, then quickly ask questions, summarize content, or get simpler explanations without leaving the page they are reading.
