Stop bookmarking whole tabs. Snap Shelf lets you save just the part of a page you care about: a highlighted passage, a cropped screenshot, or an image. Everything lands in one searchable side panel. HOW IT WORKS • Text: highlight text, right-click, and choose "Save selection to Snap Shelf". • Images: right-click any image and choose "Save image to Snap Shelf". • Screenshots: press Ctrl+Shift+S (Cmd+Shift+S on Mac), or right-click and choose "Capture screenshot region", then drag to select an area. • Click the Snap Shelf toolbar icon to open your shelf in the side panel. FEATURES • Searchable: find anything by text, note, page title, tag, or site. • Source saved automatically: every item keeps its page URL, title, favicon, and date. Click to jump back to the original page, scrolled to your highlight when possible. • Notes, tags, and folders: add a short note, tag items, and sort them into folders. • Favorites: star the items that matter and filter to them in one click. • List and gallery views: browse screenshots and images as a visual grid. • Quick copy: copy saved text, or copy an image to paste anywhere. • Undo: deleted something by mistake? Undo it right away. • Keyboard friendly: press / to search, use the arrow keys to move, and F, C, E, and Delete to favorite, copy, edit, and delete. • Built-in help: a ? button reminds you how everything works. • Light and dark themes: follows your system setting. • Lightweight: no background page, and capture tools only load when you use them. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything is stored locally in your browser. There is no account, no sign-up, no tracking, and no servers. Snap Shelf never sends your saved items anywhere. The only network requests it makes are fetching the images and favicons you ask it to save. Perfect for research, shopping, recipes, design inspiration, study notes, and anything else you'd otherwise leave in 40 open tabs.
