Requires a paid subscription to actually be useful. "Demo mode supports up to 750 tokens, or ~500 words. Subscribe to raise this limit to ~12,000 words." Who needs a summary of a 500 word paragraph? I think this limit should be mentioned somewhere more prominently, before download/install.

Hi Bikram, your concern about the lack of messaging on the free-tier limitations it totally valid. As a result, we've just submitted an update to highlight the cap on the free tier more prominently in the Chrome Webstore description as well as multiple places on the website. You should see these updates go live within the next few days. You also raise a good point about the token limits themselves. Regarding the initial 750-token limit in the free tier, we chose this conservative estimate at launch to balance cost and utility, while attempting to avoid any upstream rate limiting by our partner, OpenAI. Thanks to a variety of factors, including a better understanding of usage patterns and feedback from users like you, we're glad to announce an increase in the free-tier token limit to 1,500 tokens. This generally equates to about two full pages of online content. From what we've seen so far the vast majority of usage, including among paid users, falls well within this limit, as "Correct" and "Translate" tasks typically involve just a few paragraphs. But you're right that for most summarization tasks, 750 tokens is too low to be broadly useful. We hope that you find more utility with the increased free tier limit. Feel free to reach out to discuss any other concerns and we'll be glad to help out.

Lindsay EadeDec 29, 2023 has saved me a ton of time reviewing for my exams. I often use the Summarize & Highlight tools to review chapters when studying for my exams. I also created a custom prompt that will generate study guide questions so I can quiz myself to gauge how prepared I am for the test. It's been a lifesaver so far!

Really impressive extension. It's truly magical to be able to summarize text with just a few clicks. Plus, it's incredibly polished, making it feel like an official feature in Chrome.

As a non-native english speaker, smudge has been amazing for helping me polish my writing immediately before I post online. I just right-click, "Refine", and correct any mistakes. Super easy. I also love that most of the time it's totally out of the way.

Zarek OdynskiNov 1, 2023 is a great tool! It makes usage of text-based AI very quick and easy. You never have to switch tabs or apps to use it, and you don't need to learn how to write prompts if you don't want to.
