Overview
Add sticky notes, quotes, and drawings to any webpage. Annotations are saved to your account and restored on your next visit.
Smudge turns any webpage into a space you can actually mark up. Drop sticky notes anywhere on a page. Highlight and quote passages of text, with each quote linking back to exactly where it came from. Draw, sketch, type text directly onto the page, drop in an image, or point things out with a laser pointer, right over the page content, whether you're reviewing a document, working through an idea, or just leaving yourself a reminder. It works on ordinary webpages and on PDFs. PDFs get their own enhanced viewer with real text selection, so quoting and highlighting work exactly like they do on a regular website, not just a flattened image you can't interact with. Sign in with your Google account and everything you create is saved automatically. Come back to the same page later, on the same computer or a different one, and your notes, highlights, and drawings are exactly where you left them. Smudge only touches the pages you choose to annotate. It never reads your general browsing history, and nothing is stored at all if you're signed out.
