SmartSelect helps you stay focused while browsing and researching. Select any word, phrase, or sentence to act on it immediately. In Normal Mode, SmartSelect shows a search menu near your selection so you can search with your preferred engines without breaking your reading flow. In Search Mode, selected text is searched automatically using your default engine. In Copy Mode, selected text is copied automatically for faster note-taking and research. SmartSelect also lets you disable accidental link clicks on the current site, which helps prevent unwanted page jumps while reading. You can customize search engines, reorder them, choose a default engine, and adjust behavior settings such as opening results in background tabs or skipping copy mode inside text fields. Everything runs locally in your browser. SmartSelect does not collect or transmit your selected text or browsing data to the developer's servers.
