WHY IT ASKS FOR ACCESS TO ALL SITES Videos live everywhere, and there's no way to know in advance which sites you'll watch on. The extension only ever looks for <video> and <iframe> elements — it never reads page text, form data, or your browsing history — and you can disable it on any site from the popup. A NOTE ON YOUTUBE YouTube already ships its own keyboard shortcuts, so Smart Video Controls stays out of its way and leaves the native player untouched. PRIVACY Your positions sync through your own Chrome account — they never touch our servers unless you turn on Pro sync. We never collect URLs, page titles, or page content. Once a day the extension reports anonymous usage counts (how many shortcuts and resumes, nothing about what you watched) so we know what to improve — switch it off in Settings anytime.
