FAQ Does Smart Templates upload my emails anywhere? No. Templates live in chrome.storage.local on your computer. The only outbound network call is the optional AI rewrite endpoint, and that only sends the snippet you select. Does the //shortcut expansion conflict with Gmail autocomplete? No. The expansion runs on Tab key only when the preceding text matches a saved //shortcut. Normal Gmail autocomplete is untouched. Which Gmail interfaces does it support? Standard Gmail compose, popout compose, reply, and forward dialogs in the new Gmail UI. Works on personal Gmail and Google Workspace accounts. Can I sync templates across multiple computers?
