Smart Proxy Tabs is a Chrome extension that assigns a different proxy server to each browser tab. Every tab gets its own IP address instead of sharing one across the entire browser. Core function: Open the popup, see all your tabs, pick a proxy for each one from a dropdown. The extension switches the active proxy automatically when you click between tabs using Chrome's proxy API and a PAC script engine. Proxy profiles: Create profiles with a label, IP, port, scheme (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, SOCKS5), and optional username and password. Profiles are color-coded and saved permanently in Chrome local storage. Free proxy importer: Fetches proxy lists from 16 public sources. Six are verified APIs that only return proxies with confirmed uptime in the last 24 hours. After fetching, run a live test to filter working proxies from dead ones. Working proxies display response time in milliseconds. Dead ones are crossed out automatically. Country flags and geolocation: One button loads the country flag and location for every imported IP using a free batch geolocation API. Flag shows inline, country name shows on hover. Profile labels auto-include the country name when added. Manual proxy input: Type any IP and port directly without going through the import flow.
