Smart Formatter helps you read messy API and log payloads in seconds. - Detects JSON or XML on pages and offers one-click pretty print. - Formats selected text or the full page. - Expands nested payload strings (JSON/XML inside JSON fields). - Preserves mixed log text while pretty-printing detected fragments. - Shows syntax-highlighted output with Edit / Preview, Copy, and Light/Dark theme. - Supports both in-page overlay and open-in-new-tab viewing. - Includes optional embedded payload panel with payload path labels. How to Use (for Chrome Web Store listing) - Install Smart Formatter and pin it from the Chrome extensions menu. - Open any page with JSON/XML (or select text on any webpage). - Click the Smart Formatter icon to show the floating launcher. - Choose one option: - Format Selection In Page - Open Selection In New Tab - Format Whole Page - On raw response pages, you can also click the in-page Pretty Print button. - In the formatted view, use Copy, Edit/Preview, Theme (Light/Dark), and Show Embedded for nested payloads. - Close the launcher with × anytime; click the extension icon again to bring it back.
