Group related replies into a thread, @ mention people or groups, templates, and preview Markdown/Excel/Word/PowerPoint files.

Chatwork has no threads, so a question and its answers end up scattered across hundreds of messages. Smart Chatwork pulls them back together and lets you read the whole conversation in one popup. It also adds smart @mentions for people and groups, one-tap message templates, and in-chat preview for Markdown, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and HTML files. Free, no account, nothing ever leaves your browser. 💬 RELATED MESSAGES IN ONE THREAD • Any message that has replies gets a 💬 badge under the avatar with the number of related messages — you can see at a glance where a conversation is happening. • Click the badge to read the whole thread in one popup: replies indented by level, day dividers, participant avatars in the header. • Click a message in the popup to jump straight to it in the chat. It gets pinned to the top and flashes, so you spot it immediately. • Original message too old to be loaded? Hit "Load older messages and find the original" and the extension walks back through history for you. @ MENTION ONE PERSON OR A WHOLE GROUP • Type @ to get the room's member list, then keep typing to filter. Diacritic-insensitive ("bui" matches "Bùi"), and Japanese names work too. • Kanji names match by romaji with no setup at all: 梅津 → "umezu", 服部 → "hattori". • Type in kana without waiting for the IME to convert: @うめづ finds 梅津 straight away. Rare readings can be added in the settings, written in romaji or hiragana. • People you mention often rise to the top of the list, remembered per room. • Avatar, company name and Chatwork ID under each name — no more tagging the wrong person with the same name. • Type @dev to insert [To:] tags for a whole team at once, and only for members actually in the room. ⚡ TEMPLATE-BASED INPUT • A template bar sits right above the message box: click a chip and your frequent message is in, no more copy-pasting. • Pinned templates come first, frequently used ones rise automatically per room. Drag to reorder, or press Alt+1…9. • Prefer typing? Press / in the message box to pick a template. • Templates support live variables: {date} {time} {me} {room} {cursor} {sel}. • Template library (Alt+T): diacritic-insensitive search, groups, colors, room-only templates. Create and edit templates right inside Chatwork, no need to open the extension popup. 👁 FILE PREVIEW RIGHT IN THE CHAT • Chatwork previews only images, PDF and text — Office attachments must be downloaded, or opened through Google Drive viewer (Google account required, file goes through Google's servers). • Smart Chatwork adds an 👁 button next to attachments — in the chat and in the Files window — and opens them in a popup, parsed entirely inside your browser: the file never leaves your machine. • Markdown renders GitHub-style: headings, tables, code blocks, task lists — instead of a raw code view. • Excel (.xlsx and legacy .xls): one tab per sheet, merged cells kept. • Word (.docx): headings, paragraphs, tables and embedded images. • PowerPoint (.pptx): a simplified card per slide — title, text, tables and images. • HTML (.html .htm): opened with the browser's own engine, so layout, CSS and tables look exactly as intended — test reports, exported dashboards, saved pages. The file is shown inside a locked-down sandbox: scripts never run and nothing is loaded from the internet, so a page someone sends you cannot phone home. 💾 BACKUP & RESTORE Export every setting — templates, groups, name readings, toggles — to a single file, then restore it on another computer, merging with or replacing what's there. It also reads Slim Chatwork template exports. 🌍 LANGUAGES Vietnamese · English · Japanese — switchable in the settings popup, defaults to your browser language. 🔒 PRIVACY No data collection. No analytics. No external servers. Settings and templates are stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local). The only permission requested is "storage", and the extension runs only on www.chatwork.com.
