Small Red Button lets you download your BigBlueButton lecture recordings right from your browser. No Python, ffmpeg or other software to install — everything runs locally in your browser. WHAT YOU CAN DOWNLOAD • Video (MP4): slides, whiteboard drawings, the presenter's cursor, zoom, screen sharing, webcam and audio in a single video file. • Slides (PDF): every slide shown in the lecture as a page, with its whiteboard drawings. Slide text is searchable; the chat transcript and shared notes are appended at the end. • Audio only: the lecture audio, copied without re-encoding. • All recording files (ZIP): a backup of every file of the recording on the server. FEATURES • Whiteboard drawings are placed exactly as in the official player. • Slide chapters in the video, so you can jump to any slide in players that support chapters. • Captions, when the recording has them, are embedded and also provided as a .vtt file. • Chat transcript as a separate text file or as PDF pages. • Webcam in any corner or next to the presentation, in three sizes. An empty webcam is left out. • Download several recordings in one go. Interrupted downloads resume where they stopped. • Available in nine languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch and Polish. The language follows your browser; you can change it in the extension window. HOW TO USE 1. Open the recording's playback page. 2. Click the Small Red Button icon in the toolbar. 3. Choose what to download and click "Start download". 4. Follow the progress in the tab that opens; when the file is ready, it is saved to your download folder. PRIVACY • The extension only connects to the server of the recording you download. • No data is sent to the developer or any third party; no usage statistics are collected. • Recording files are processed only in your browser's own storage. Source files are deleted when processing ends; a copy of the result stays in the browser until you clear it with "Clear temporary files". • The extension has no site access when installed. The first time you download a recording from a server, permission is requested for that server only, with your approval.
