Sluice

Send cookies and detected video streams to the Sluice app.

Sluice is a Windows desktop app that saves videos and files from the creator and course sites you subscribe to into one organized local library. This extension is its companion. It spots the video a page is playing and sends it to the app in one click. WHAT IT DOES • Detects streams (HLS/.m3u8, embedded players, and more) while a page plays and shows a small "Send to Sluice" chip on the player. • The toolbar popup lists every stream found on the current tab, plus recognized video pages and playlists. • Shares your login cookies with the app so members-only videos you already pay for can download. PRIVACY • Everything is sent to the Sluice app on your own computer (127.0.0.1). Nothing goes to any server. • Cookies are shared only for the sites you send, or when the app asks to refresh a site you are downloading from. The extension never reads your whole cookie jar. • No analytics, no tracking, no third parties. LIMITS • DRM-protected streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and similar) are not supported. Sluice cannot and does not bypass encryption. • For personal, offline use of content you have the right to access.
