Overview

Auto-skips AI-generated slop on YouTube Shorts and TikTok, shows which rule fired, and remembers slop channels.

SlopSkip checks every short before it plays, and skips the AI-generated ones. It reads the platform's own AI-disclosure label, the title, the hashtags and the channel name. When a video looks machine-generated it moves straight past it and tells you exactly which rule fired, so you can see why. Channels that keep posting slop are remembered, and their next one never even starts. No account. No sign-up. No analytics, no trackers, and no third-party requests. With no community server configured, SlopSkip makes zero network requests of any kind. WHAT YOU CONTROL Five categories, each set to Auto-skip, Flag only, or Off: - Platform AI label: YouTube's own "AI" chip and altered-or-synthetic disclosures - AI text signals: 83 rules over titles, hashtags and channel names - Community blocklist: the shared list of slop channels (off until you opt in) - Sponsored slots: the sponsored items injected between shorts - Promotional content: paid-promotion disclosures and known brand channels Three strictness levels: Labels only, if you want to trust nothing but the platform's own disclosure. Balanced, the default. Aggressive, for a lower skip threshold. You can also add your own hashtags as custom tags, keep a personal blocklist and whitelist, allow individual channels, and set a safety brake that pauses auto-skipping after a run of skips so a bad rule can never run away with your feed. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO Laundered slop with no markers at all gets through. A video with a clean title, no hashtags and no disclosure has nothing to match on, and SlopSkip will play it. The demo on slopskip.com deliberately includes one of these rather than pretending it does not happen. The extension also ships three experimental checks, all switched OFF by default, because they are not good enough to be on: a voice check that catches crude text-to-speech but misses modern neural voices, a watermark check that also fires on ordinary human videos, and TikTok support that is still being built. Turn one on and it stays on. None of them can skip a video on their own. PRIVACY Your settings and lists stay on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, and there is nothing to sign in to. The community blocklist is opt-in and off by default. If you turn it on, the extension asks a server for the shared list of slop channels, and reporting a channel sends that channel's handle. Reports are stored against a salted hash, never your IP address. Full policy: https://slopskip.com/privacy.php Free, and the detection engine stays free. Fixes for when a platform changes its markup ship to everyone.
