Overview

Community-reported labels and filtering for AI-generated web content.

Sloppy helps you see and contribute community reports about suspected AI-generated or AI-assisted web content—and choose how those reports affect your browser. Report an entire domain, one page, or selected text, image, audio or video. Choose Slop, Not slop or Unsure, with zero or more labels: AI-generated text, images, audio, video, AI-assisted or uncertain, and AI-first website or tool. Update or remove your own report. Each installation has one current report per target. See community vote totals, content-label counts and honest low-sample or disputed states. Unsure votes do not enter the yes/no ratio. Under the current server defaults, fewer than five eligible votes are unrated; 60% or more Slop is community-reported Slop, 40% or less is Not slop, and results between those thresholds are disputed. Installation reports are not verified independent people. Your browser, your rules. Opt in to automatic checks, warnings, recoverable blocking or reversible content hiding. Set your own minimum votes and action threshold. Add local per-domain overrides. Blocking and warnings include recovery controls; hidden content can be revealed. Automatic features start off and request optional website access. Manual popup reporting remains usable if that access is denied. Element matching on dynamic pages is best-effort. Sloppy is not an automatic AI detector. It does not use an AI model, and community judgments are not proof that content is AI-generated. Reports are opinions. The first manual lookup waits for your explicit choice after an in-product disclosure. Lookups and reports send deterministic, linkable target hashes to the shared HTTPS API. Raw page URLs, text, HTML, cookies, form contents and media URLs are not uploaded. A random installation ID and separate credential authorize reports and deletion. Common targets can be guessed from hashes; hashing does not make them anonymous. Provider metadata and backup retention are explained in the privacy policy. Offline votes are visibly pending until you retry or discard them. In Settings, “Delete server reports and clear local data” deletes this installation's server reports before clearing local state. Failed deletion preserves the identity needed for retry; uninstalling first can orphan reports. Deleted records may remain in encrypted backups beyond seven days when pruning fails.
