Slacktor adds AI-powered translations directly below messages in Slack Web. Connect your own OpenAI-compatible AI endpoint, choose a model and target language, then translate Slack messages manually or automatically. Thread-aware context helps the AI understand references and maintain consistent terminology throughout conversations. Features include automatic translation, concurrent request processing, local translation caching, long-thread summaries, translation history, retry controls, and a Quick Translator that translates text into Japanese and back into English for verification. Slacktor automatically skips system activity, deleted messages, automated notices, bots, and Slack app messages. Your settings, translation cache, thread context, history, and diagnostic logs are stored locally in the browser. Slack content is sent only to the AI endpoint you configure. Slacktor does not operate a developer-owned AI server or use your data for advertising. Slacktor is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Slack Technologies, LLC.
