Overview

Extract and copy Skynet API YAML from ServiceNow change task Implementation Plans

kynet API Builder streamlines the workflow for network engineers who use Skynet/Spina for network automation. When working ServiceNow change tasks (CTASKs) or change requests (CHGs), the Implementation Plan field often contains pre-formatted YAML with Skynet API calls. Manually copying this YAML and cleaning up formatting issues is tedious and error-prone. This extension adds a one-click button that: - Extracts the Implementation Plan YAML directly from the ServiceNow page - Handles ServiceNow's complex DOM structure (iframes, Shadow DOM, Next Experience UI) - Strips HTML tags and decodes entities for clean YAML output - Counts the number of API calls found - Copies the cleaned YAML to your clipboard, ready to paste into Spina How to use: 1. Navigate to a ServiceNow change task or change request page 2. Make sure the Planning tab is active 3. Click the Skynet API Builder extension icon in your toolbar 4. Click "Extract Implementation Plan" 5. Review the extracted YAML 6. Click "Copy to Clipboard"
