Your new tab, as a world clock. Every place is painted by its own local time of day. Works offline; nothing leaves your machine.

Skyclock replaces your new tab with a full-screen world clock. Every place you add becomes a column lit by its own local hour — deep indigo at midnight, pink at sunrise, pale blue at noon, orange and violet at dusk. You read the day before you read the numbers, so a glance tells you whether it is a good time to call Tokyo. TIME TRAVEL Drag sideways across the board to scrub the hour and watch every gradient move at once. Or click any clock and type a time — every other place recalculates to match. Daylight saving is handled properly: travel to January and the New York to London gap really does become five hours. A pill shows how far you have moved; one click, or Escape, returns you to now. ABOUT 1,500 CITIES Press "+" to open a search palette. Type to filter, arrows to choose, Enter to add — it stays open, so several places can go in at once. Search by city, country, region or alias: "vegas", "NYC", "bombay" and "saigon" all land where you expect, and every result shows that city's current local time, so you see the answer before you even add the place. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY • Up to seven places, each a live-ticking column • Hover a place to change or remove it, without opening settings • 12- or 24-hour time • Sort west to east by UTC offset, or drag into an order of your own • Everything reachable from the keyboard COMPLETELY OFFLINE Skyclock makes no network requests. Not one. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no telemetry and no third-party code of any kind. Time zone maths runs on your browser's own built-in Intl engine against a city database bundled inside the extension. Your places and preferences are saved with chrome.storage.local, on your own computer. They are never uploaded or synced to us, because there is no "us" to send them to. Uninstalling removes them. It also means Skyclock works on a plane. PERMISSIONS Skyclock asks for one permission — "storage" — purely to remember your places and preferences between tabs. It requests no host permissions, so it cannot read or change any website you visit. skyclock.io
