Overview
Format any webpage for comfortable reading.
Sky Reader is a simple, lightweight, and memory-efficient reading mode extension that brings a wide range of customizable settings to your browser, designed to enhance the focus, comprehension, and enjoyment of your reading experience. With one click, Sky Reader cleanly extracts and formats article text from any webpage — no images, ads, or distracting media, just the writing. If you only need to format a specific passage, you can also type or paste text directly into the popup's input field. This makes it useful for research, note-taking, and working through longer texts in sections. Recently formatted articles are saved within your current browsing session, so you can re-open them at any time without having to reformat the page. Any formatted article can be saved as a PDF document, with extra page margins included for comfortable handwritten note-taking alongside the text. Line gradients are an optional reading aid that subtly color each line of text, making it easier to track your place on the page. With gradients enabled, your eye is less likely to drift to already-read lines or accidentally skip ahead — improving reading flow without you having to think about it. They're on by default but can be disabled instantly from the toolbar. The Lightning Read feature displays one word at a time in rapid succession, training your brain to read at speeds typically only achieved by practiced speed readers. With regular use, it can meaningfully increase your words-per-minute without sacrificing comprehension.
