Your Amazon payout is one number. Your books need it split into twelve. Drop one settlement report into SkuSum and you get the split: every line typed and categorized, a balanced double-entry journal ready for QuickBooks or Xero, and a net that ties to the deposit that actually landed in your bank. One file is enough. That is the whole first run. WHAT YOU GET FROM THE SETTLEMENT ALONE - Every settlement line classified: principal, shipping, gift wrap, referral and FBA fees, storage, refunds, reimbursements, promotions, reserves, marketplace facilitator tax, FX and adjustments. - A balanced journal entry, debits equal to credits, with draft account names you can rename to match your chart of accounts. - A settlement breakdown that ties to your deposit, so you can see which category moved when the payout changed. - A review bucket listing the exceptions worth a human look before you import. ADD MORE FILES ONLY IF YOU WANT MORE - Add the Orders (or Business) report for gross sales, Amazon fees and margin per SKU, and to see which SKUs lost money. - Add the Advertising report to see profit after ad spend. - Add your own two-column cost file for true profit after cost of goods. Nothing above changes when you add them. They only add columns. IT STOPS INSTEAD OF GUESSING If SkuSum meets a fee type it does not recognize, it refuses to export the journal and names the line. A tool that guesses gives you a journal that balances and is wrong, which is the one failure a reviewer cannot catch. You can map an unknown type yourself and it will remember the mapping. NOTHING IS UPLOADED Every calculation runs in your own browser. There is no account, no login, no server to send your reports to, and the extension requests no permissions at all. Your files leave the tab only as the exports you save yourself. PRICING Free while the tool is being validated, and nothing is locked. Free use covers your own books and the books of the business you work for. Using SkuSum and its exports in paid client work needs a Bookkeeper license, and during validation that license is free to any practitioner who tells us what the tool gets wrong on one real settlement.
