Skip Ready Auto

Automatically clicks YouTube's available native Skip button in selected video tabs. Includes a saved On/Off setting.

Skip Ready Auto waits for YouTube to offer its native Skip button, then asks Chrome to click it in a selected supported video tab. Auto Skip connects automatically, so you do not need to press Start for every video. Your saved On/Off choice stays on this device. YouTube controls when Skip becomes available. The native button must be visible, enabled and uncovered during an ad. Some ads take longer than five seconds or offer no Skip button. This extension does not block ads, shorten countdowns or use private player skip functions. Keep the video tab selected in its Chrome window. Stay in control • Auto Skip defaults to On on a fresh installation; an existing saved Off stays Off. • Turn Auto Skip off to disconnect this extension's sessions. • Use Reconnect this tab for a deliberate retry on the selected supported tab while Auto Skip is On. Other paused tabs stay paused. • Choose English or Traditional Chinese. Your language choice is saved locally. • If current status cannot be confirmed, the popup labels the earlier confirmed setting and checks again. An unconfirmed operation is not automatically replayed. Click attempts are not confirmed skips. Chrome's debugging permission is broad and can read and change page content. This implementation uses fixed locally packaged readiness checks and browser mouse input for selected top-level HTTPS www.youtube.com/watch tabs. Chrome shows a debugging banner while connected. Cancelling that banner, conflicting DevTools or a failed connection pauses that document instead of repeatedly reconnecting. A deliberate retry or a new document permits a fresh guarded attempt. Settings or temporary-hold storage failures keep automatic input stopped. Local processing and optional support There is no analytics service, extension server, viewing-history database, sync or remote extension code. Native-control state, selected-tab routing, browser navigation state and the current rendered video identifier are processed locally. Persistent local settings contain the automatic-enabled choice and interface language. Bounded temporary session records respect per-tab cancellations and failures. Copy status creates a fixed local report of flags and counts only when requested. URLs, video titles, tab/document/window identifiers, coordinates, HTML and arbitrary page text are excluded. Embedded players, Shorts, mobile pages, other sites and ads without a supported native Skip button are outside scope. YouTube changes or browser policies can affect compatibility. After an extension update, refresh already-open YouTube tabs once so their page helper matches the new version; later supported video changes do not normally require another Start or refresh. Version 1.3.2 improves how the popup labels a rejected On/Off or Reconnect response until fresh status arrives. A status display is not a guarantee that an ad was skipped. Independent project.
