WHO IT’S FOR • Individuals and teams who already use Skedix for tasks, deadlines, and collaboration • People who turn “I’ll remember this” into real tasks while reading email, docs, or the web • Anyone who wants due-date reminders and team activity surfaced as desktop notifications CREATE TASKS WITHOUT SWITCHING TABS Open the extension, describe what you need in plain language, optionally set a date and time, and send. Skedix turns your text into a structured task. You stay on the page you were reading—no copy-paste marathon, no hunting for the right workspace in a separate tab first. CAPTURE EXACTLY WHAT MATTERS (AREA SCREENSHOT) One click starts a crop overlay on the current page. Drag to select the region you care about; press Esc to cancel. The selection becomes an image Skedix can use when creating the task, so bugs, designs, receipts, and UI glitches are captured with full visual context. ATTACH IMAGES OR PDFs Add an image or PDF from your computer (or drag and drop into the popup when supported). Skedix can use the content to understand and organize the task. When a normal task is created, the file can also be uploaded as an attachment on that task so nothing is lost after creation. YOUR TASKS, FILTERED, IN THE POPUP See a live list of tasks with filters that match how you actually work: • By time: all, today, this week, next 30 days • By scope: my tasks, everything, personal vs group workspaces • By status: active, all, to do, in progress, done Tap a task to open it in Skedix via a secure magic link—no password dance in the middle of your day. REAL-TIME UPDATES IN THE BACKGROUND While you browse, the extension maintains a connection to Skedix so important events can surface as notifications (where your OS allows them), including: • Task reminders and due-date nudges • New tasks created on your account • Assignments (“this is now yours”) • Task completed • Status or priority changes • New comments on a task • Notes saved from the extension flow • Support ticket replies (when applicable) You can open the relevant screen in Skedix directly from the notification when a link is available. LANGUAGE Extension supports English and Russian for the extension UI, so you can work in the language you prefer. SETUP 1. Use Skedix at skedix.app 2. In Skedix: Settings → Extensions & API → generate an API token for this extension. 3. Install the extension, open it once, and paste your server URL and token when prompted. 4. Allow notifications in the browser if you want reminders and live updates on your desktop. After setup, the extension remembers your credentials locally in Chrome. You can revisit settings from the popup anytime. BROWSERS Built for Chromium-based browsers. Users commonly run it on Google Chrome; PRIVACY & DATA (PLAIN ENGLISH) • The extension talks only to the Skedix server you configure (by default skedix.app) using your API token. • It uses Chrome extension APIs you approve at install time (for example storage, notifications, alarms, and active tab when you start a screenshot)—so it can save settings, reconnect in the background, show alerts, and capture the page you asked to capture. • Screenshot and file flows are there to create tasks you explicitly start; they are not a generic “read all your browsing” tool. TIPS • Combine a short title or instruction in the text box with a crop or attachment when the visual or document is the main signal. • Set a deadline in the popup when the task is time-sensitive so reminders can fire at the right time in Skedix. • If notifications are quiet, check Chrome’s site/extension notification permissions and your OS focus or Do Not Disturb settings. Skedix Task Assistant is meant to shrink the gap between “I noticed something” and “it’s tracked in Skedix.” Install it once, keep the icon handy, and let your browser become part of your task system—not a distraction from it.
