Record one minute of motion, then cooperate with the exact ghost of that loop.

Sixty Seconds Behind is a clockwork puzzle game about cooperating with exact recordings of earlier attempts. Each loop contains twenty three-second beats. Walking, waiting, and the order of those actions are recorded. Ending the loop returns the current player to the entrance and creates a ghost that repeats the recorded path from the beginning on every later loop. Brass contacts remain active only while the current player or a recorded self stands on them. The exit opens when every contact is occupied simultaneously, so later selves must cross the room while earlier selves arrive at carefully chosen positions. Up to four ghosts can coexist, and the most recent ghost can be erased without resetting the whole clockroom. Four complete clockrooms require one, two, three, and four coordinated recordings. The entire presentation resembles a mechanical timing instrument with a visible sixty-second dial and recording strip.
