Sitr – Halal Browsing
Overview
Mutes music, singing and suggestive sounds before you hear them, and blurs people in videos and images. Runs on your device.
Sitr makes browsing more halal: it mutes music before you hear it and blurs people in videos and images — entirely on your device. 🔇 Mutes music before it reaches your ears • Audio is analyzed 1.5 s ahead, so offending parts are muted in time, with the picture kept in sync. • Quran, adhan, speech and instrument-free nasheeds stay audible (tested on 48 reciters). • Four levels: strict, medium, normal, advanced. Mute or skip. 👁️ Blurs people in videos and images • Only people are blurred; the background and hands stay clear. • Or "Show confirmed men only" (experimental): a person is shown only when the model is confident, from the face, that he is a man; anyone uncertain stays blurred. • Thumbnails and post images too. • Needs a graphics card (WebGPU or WebGL). ⛔ Exempt channels you trust: no blurring, no audio filtering, or both. 🏷️ Correct any mistake in one click and train the filter to your taste, in your browser. 🔒 Privacy: no server, no account. Audio and images never leave your device. Contributing to improvements is optional and off by default. Works on popular video and social media sites. 12 languages. Honest note: AI can make mistakes; for full safety choose "Blur all people".
