Sitenoted
Overview
Sticky notes for any website. Your notes reappear when you come back — private, local, never sent anywhere.
Leave a sticky note on any website and it's waiting for you the next time you visit. Open a site, press Alt+Shift+N, and type. That's it. Notes save themselves and reappear on their own. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Pin a note to a whole site, or to one exact page, switch any note between the two with one click • Write in markdown: headings, bullets, numbered lists, and checkboxes you can tick right on the note • Drag, resize, recolor (7 colors), and collapse notes to a single title bar • Make a note click-through when you need the page underneath. It fades and stops catching the pointer • Manage everything from one page: search every note, edit in place, grouped by site, no need to revisit each one • Deleted something? It waits seven days in Recently deleted • Export and import your notes as JSON PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sitenoted has no server, no account, and makes no network requests at all. Your notes are stored in your own browser and never leave it. There is no analytics and no tracking. It also keeps your notes away from the sites you visit. Each note is rendered in a frame owned by the extension rather than by the page, so a website cannot read what you have written or the keystrokes that went into it. SHORTCUTS Alt+Shift+N — new note on this site Alt+Shift+H — hide or show notes on this page Esc — stop editing
