SiteEQ - Per-Site Equalizer

A 10-band equalizer with bass boost that remembers its settings for every website.

🎵 SiteEQ – Per-Site Audio Equalizer for Chrome Take full control of your browser's audio! SiteEQ is a powerful 10-band equalizer that automatically saves custom sound profiles per website. Your settings follow the domain, so YouTube, Netflix, and music streaming sites get their own independent profiles seamlessly. 🎛️ KEY FEATURES • 10-Band Equalizer: Fine-tune frequencies from 32 Hz to 16 kHz (±15 dB). • Precision Controls: Built-in Bass, Treble, and Volume knobs. • Visual Graph: Shape your audio in real-time with a live frequency-response curve. • Smart Memory: Automatically matches profiles by domain (ignores the "www." prefix). 🕹️ CONTROLS & NAVIGATION • Mouse: Drag graph dots up/down to adjust a band (double-click to reset). Drag knobs or use your mouse wheel to adjust levels. • Keyboard: Use Up/Down arrows to tweak active faders, Page Up/Down for larger steps, Home/End for extremes, and Left/Right to switch controls. 💾 GLOBAL PRESETS & SHARING • Custom Presets: Click "+ Save" to store settings globally and apply them to any website. Delete them anytime by hovering and clicking "✕". • Profile Codes: Click the "⇄" button to get a short 15–20 character code. Copy to backup/share, or paste a code and hit "Import" to load a profile instantly. ⚙️ HOW IT WORKS UNDER THE HOOD • Universal Compatibility: Processes audio via chrome.tabCapture into a 48 kHz Web Audio engine inside an offscreen document. Works perfectly on all sites, bypassing restrictions that break other equalizers. • Seamless Switching: Automatically updates the EQ profile when you change websites within the same tab. Unmapped sites pass through untouched. • Anti-Clipping: A built-in look-ahead peak limiter (-1 dBFS, 5 ms) prevents distortion from heavy bass boosts without altering flat or cut-only audio. 🔒 PRIVACY & SECURITY FIRST • 100% Offline: Declares no host permissions, runs no content scripts, and makes zero network requests. • Local Storage: All website hostnames, presets, and audio settings are kept strictly on your local device and never transmitted.
