Site Sort saves every download into a folder named for the website you are on. Download a photo on Facebook and it goes to Downloads/Facebook. Grab a PDF from a client portal and it goes to Downloads/Work/Clients/ABC. No more digging through one giant Downloads folder. WHY IT WORKS WHERE OTHERS DON'T Most download organizers look at the address of the file itself. That breaks on the sites people use most: Facebook serves files from fbcdn.net, Instagram from cdninstagram.com, and many sites hand off to Google Drive, Amazon S3 or a CDN. A rule for "facebook.com" never fires. Site Sort looks at the site in your tab instead. If the page you are on is facebook.com, the file goes to your Facebook folder, wherever it is actually served from. To save to another drive, change Chrome's download location in Settings › Downloads, and Site Sort's folders will be created there. - If "Ask where to save each file" is on in Chrome, the Save dialog opens with Site Sort's folder already filled in. - Chrome follows only one extension's filename suggestion, so run one download organizer at a time. - Only new downloads are sorted. Files already on disk are not moved. - To use Site Sort in Incognito windows, turn on "Allow in Incognito" in chrome://extensions.
