Site Gate: Website Blocker & Allow List

Block distracting websites or allow only selected sites. Use separate block and allow lists, with settings saved on your device.

Site Gate is a website blocker for Chrome. Block distracting websites, or use an allow list to open only the websites you choose. BLOCK SELECTED WEBSITES Add websites to your block list. Those websites are blocked. All other websites remain available. ALLOW SELECTED WEBSITES ONLY Add websites to your allow list. Only those websites can open. All other HTTP and HTTPS websites are blocked. Each mode has a separate list. FEATURES • Add a domain or paste a full website address. • Include all subdomains with one entry. • Add the current website with one button. • Add several websites at once, separated by commas. • Search your list and remove entries. • Pause or start protection with one switch. • Keep up to 1,000 domains in each list. • Apply changes to open tabs. • Open settings in a full browser tab. LOCAL SETTINGS Your lists and settings stay on your device. Website addresses are processed locally to apply your rules. Site Gate has no account requirement, tracking, advertising, remote code, or external fonts. It does not send your settings or browsing data to a server. HOW TO USE 1. Open Site Gate from the Chrome toolbar. 2. Select Block selected or Allow selected only. 3. Enter a website, such as example.com, and click Add. A rule for example.com includes www.example.com and all other subdomains. Website paths and ports do not limit a rule. An empty allow list blocks all HTTP and HTTPS websites when protection is on. SCOPE Site Gate controls HTTP and HTTPS pages in browser tabs. It does not filter images, scripts, or embedded frames. Chrome system pages and local files remain available. A person with access to Chrome can pause or remove the extension. For private browsing, enable Allow in Incognito in the extension details.
